R2C is seeking a Senior Windows System Administrator responsible for the installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of a mission network.

Responsibilities

  • Improve the stability and performance of the system

  • Maintain and improve the security posture of the domain

  • Perform continuous monitoring of system health, and troubleshooting issues that arise

  • Manage incident/request tickets

  • Manage Active Directory users, groups and file permissions

  • Initiate scripts

  • Input and/or update data in the database

  • Initiate automated processing

  • Copy images from a server to local storage

  • Troubleshoot and communicate with customers and users

  • Conduct server and workstation patching and security scans

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of Active Directory/Group Policy administration experience

  • Experience deploying Windows patches across a Domain (WSUS)

  • Experience administering a standalone Windows Domain

  • Understanding of Windows’ file systems (concept of files/folders/symbolic links/permissions)

  • General application and Windows operating system troubleshooting experience

  • Experience working on a team and as an individual

  • Familiar with technical tools like JIRA and Confluence for managing projects

  • Experience writing/updating technical documentation

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology

  • 8 + years' experience supporting the Windows Environment

  • An active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Windows SCCM
