R2C is seeking Software Developers to support a client's technical requirements on a mission focused program within a challenging, dynamic setting located in the Washington Metropolitan Area.

Responsibilities
Develop software for systems
Participate in all aspects of the product development life cycle
Develop releases for product enhancements, bug-fixes and other relevant changes
Support end user product integration using APIs
Develop and test automated tools, perform product functional tests and vulnerability tests, and provide relevant fixes to identified problems
Analyze and study complex systems requirements
Design software tools and subsystems to support software reuse
Translate detailed design into computer software
Integrate commercial packages onto client system
Prepare documentation at both program-level and user-level
Enhance software to reduce operating time and/or improve efficiency
Provide technical guidance regarding software engineering techniques and automated support tools
Created detailed flow charts, programs, and tests
Coordinate with project manager, systems engineers and software developers to ensure code is implemented according to system specification
Develop system alternatives and solutions
Prepare test plans and test data for proposed systems
Qualifications
Experience analyzing requirements, designing, developing, and testing software
Experience debugging complex applications
Experience using the Object Oriented Design methodology
Experience programming in Java and Java Enterprise
Experience using XML and working as part of a software development team
Experience developing customized applications to run on a Linux baseline
Experience creating software test cases, test plans, and test scripts
Preferred Qualifications
Experience scripting in Bash
Experience creating software functional and technical design specifications
Experience using IDEs
Experience building Java applications with ANT
Experience conducting Linux server-side development
Experience using automation (Kickstart, shell scripting) to build and configure software
Experience using version control systems and issue tracking systems
Experience working in the Agile or Waterfall development methodology
Experience presenting technical material
